Golf in Jamaica's World Famous Championship Courses

There's a reason so many Championship Golf Tournaments take place in Jamaica. It's simply some of the most beautiful and perfectly planned landscape and terrain anywhere to enjoy the game. A luxurious villa for the vacation of a lifetime, the tropical Caribbean trade winds and there really isn't much more you could ask for. JamaicanTreasures assists guests in reserving tee times, and getting their entire party to the courses. We're happy to discuss any aspect of your golf vacation so that you can take full advantage of Jamaica's world class courses and everything they offer.

The following courses are part of what makes JamaicanTreasures so special.

The Tryall Golf, Tennis and Beach Club

Challenging approaches? You bet. The Tryall course offers nine rolling holes in the hills, and another nine level holes by the sea. Together both the expert and pleasure golfer get the best combination in truly remarkable surroundings with one amazing hole following another. The luxury resort is just 12 miles from Montego Bay, and the championship course was designed and built in 1960 by Texas architect Ralph Plummer on the site of a 19th century sugar plantation. Having hosted five Johnnie Walker World Championships, the Tryall also offers a golf school staffed by PGA instructors. The 6,221-yard, par 72 course is still considered the finest in the Caribbean.

With more than 400 acres of beautiful gardens and landscaped terrain, the resort's private half moon shaped bay borders an extremely spacious course widely considered to be among the finest in the world. Extra large, undulating greens that complement the foothills of the western Jamaican coastline give the course its considerable personality and some difficult driving areas make it a challenge. The Half Moon is among very few in "Jack Nicklaus' Great Golf Resorts of the World." With a recently enlarged clubhouse that now accommodates the David Leadbetter Golf Academy, the Half Moon is not a course you should skip.
